Meet Scott

Scott founded Sapien Rehab and Performance in 2019 with a clear vision: to deliver physiotherapy that goes beyond symptom management and creates lasting transformation through movement.
With over 13 years of experience across elite sport and complex rehabilitation, Scott has worked with Olympic athletes, world champion boxers, professional surfers, and countless individuals navigating challenging recoveries. His clinical expertise has been featured in Surfing Life and Tracks magazines.
 

Qualifications & Background

  • Doctor of Physiotherapy, Bond University (2014)
  • Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, University of Sydney (2012)
  • Over 10 years specializing in sports physiotherapy and complex musculoskeletal rehabilitation
  • Personal experience recovering from shoulder surgery, disc herniation, and three years of sciatica—bringing firsthand understanding to every client’s journey

Clinical Focus

Scott specializes in spinal rehabilitation and disc herniations, working with clients who require depth, precision, and a systematic approach to complex cases. He also focuses on junior and elite athlete development in surfing, combining performance training with injury prevention to help surfers reach their full potential—from groms to Olympians.
Whether it’s post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic spinal pain, or returning elite athletes to competition, Scott combines evidence-based practice with hands-on care and gym-based progression to deliver results that last.
 

What’s Next

Scott is currently expanding Sapien’s reach, launching a second location on North Stradbroke Island to bring the same level of care to island communities and visiting athletes.
