Unilateral = each side working independently of each other

This variation allows us to explore the full spectrum of scapula motion: protraction, upward rotation, elevation, retraction, depression

The scapula is designed to do it all - so this is how we train the muscles surrounding it

The low kneeling in this exercise allows us to keep a good connection between the rib cage / pelvis “locking in” this critical base for scapula motion to happen

Important one to remember guys.

There is a big big difference between your fitness practices e.g. gym, running, cycling, surfing and being a healthy human.

We often work with very very fit clients who are completely dedicated to their sports and hobbies. At times, this can be a detriment to their health.

There are many many layers to good health - doing your hour or so of exercise is one of the easiest when you love what you do!

But can you take your foot off the gas? Can you unwind and relax your mind and body and hit the recovery switch?

The great paradox here is that by learning these polar opposite states you are going to perform better in the activity or sport you love to do. You are also going to be able to do it for longer in your life.

Have been doing some serious cortical remapping of my movement patterns with this extra time.

Efficient transfer of energy is the goal. Load distribution even? Length tension curves, synergy of muscle slings etc etc.

The body is easy. You get from it what you do with it often.
