Byron O’Neill is a Senior Physiotherapist at Sapien Rehab and Performance. He holds a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Bond University, followed by a Doctor of Physiotherapy, which he completed in 2018.
Byron has worked in private practice throughout his career and joined Sapien in 2021. He has supported many clients through complex knee surgeries and return-to-work cases. His sporting experience includes working with professional surfers over the past five years, as well as the Tweed Heads Seagulls Queensland Cup rugby league team.
Having experienced a lumbar disc herniation himself, Byron has developed a growing professional interest in the assessment and rehabilitation of lower back and spinal conditions. His approach combines detailed assessment, progressive rehabilitation and practical guidance to help clients restore function, rebuild confidence and return to the activities that matter to them.
As a lifelong Southern Gold Coast local and keen surfer, Byron understands the demands of an active lifestyle. Outside the clinic, he enjoys surfing and spending time with his family.
